About

Having played roles such as Lydia Bennett in Pride and Prejudice, the Jailer’s Daughter in The Two Noble Kinsmen, Liesl in The Sound of Music, and Perdita in The Winter’s Tale, Abbie is a performer focused on bringing classic pieces to life for a modern audience. Abbie received her training at Long Island University Post, where she received a BFA in Musical Theatre and studied Stanislavski, Chekhov, Meisner, Suzuki, voice and speech, and received intensive training in Shakespeare. She furthered her study of Shakespeare through the University of Texas at Austin’s immersive summer intensive, Shakespeare at Winedale. She has also trained in dance for over a decade, having worked in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre dance styles, hip hop, and swing/salsa/social dance.

With diverse skills in music, she plays harp and piano, and helped to compose an original TYA musical for the educational outreach program of The Tilles Center. This show, Poseidon, the Mermaids, and the Water Cycle, performed to sold out audiences when it opened in the spring of 2023, and it was revived with a new cast in 2024 under Abbie’s music direction. She is also an educator and is currently touring with The Dakota Players, an educational outreach of the Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota. Finally, Abbie is trained in stage combat, and has received her certification as a stage combatant through the Society of American Fight Directors.
